APPLE'S IMOVIE

- Apple's free video editing software -

Step 1: Open iMovie

Locate iMovie on the machine you're using and open iMovie by clicking the application.

1) Click on File
2) Click on Open Library
3) Click on New

"ProjectName_Date"

Step 2: Create a New Library

Step 4: Delete the Event that was Created with a New Library

1) Right Click on Old Event
2) Select Delete Event

1) Click on File
2) Click on Open Library
3) Click on New

"ProjectName_Date"

Step 2: Create a New Library

1) Create Save Folder on Desktop or Anywhere on Computer
2) Save Video to Folder

"FileName_Date"

EDIT THE VIDEO

There is no particular order to editing your video. Below, various pointers, steps, and options are described to help you understand the basics of video editing. It is recommended that you visit Apple's iMovie Help Page if you require additional guidance on specific topics or advanced editing techniques. It may be beneficial for you to look at various Youtube videos on topics you need additional help with.

You can shorten the video clips to capture only what you want said in your video.

Step 10: Edit the Video

Step 11: Video Export

1. Close all presets and correction dialogue items
2. Ensure videos are in correct order and flow well
3. Click the share icon in the top right and select File

COMPLETE

The video is complete and ready to be watched. If you would like to reduce the size the video you can use codec applications such as Handbrake to alter the video file: https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php You can also change the file format of the video file by renaming the file and changing the .MOV to .mp4.
